Reno County Fire District 3 will be doing routine hydrant flushes on April 8th at 7:00 p.m. Citizens may experience discolored water during and after these flushes. Please run your water for a few minutes and it will clear up. If you have to run a large amount of water contact City Hall. If your meter shows usage larger than normal we will do an adjustment on your bill.

Welcome!
The city was incorporated here in Reno County on June 7, 1879, with a current population that is around 1040. Nickerson has a Chamber of Commerce, EMS, Library, Recreation Commission, Post Office, Senior Center and a County Fire Department.
There are several events that the citizens can get involved with throughout the year. We have a nice city park that offers a quiet area for family reunions, picnicking, or a place to take you children to play. The park has barbeques, water, restrooms, electricity access, sheltered picnic area, playground, basketball court, volleyball courts, a splash pad and is across the street from the baseball diamonds.
For your convenience there is a local grocery store, dining establishments and area churches.
